Dear (Insert Name),
Villages in Partnership is hosting its annual Water Walk fundraiser as a hybrid event this year and I want to invite you to make a life-changing difference with me.
While COVID-19 has hit Malawi, clean water and hand-washing stations are vital to prevent even more rampant problems like dysentery and childhood diarrhea. Plus, access to water allows girls to stay in school longer which opens huge opportunities for their futures. It is more important than ever that we come alongside our brothers and sisters in the villages. We must combat the lack of water and healthcare facilities and make it possible to wash hands with soap and water.
This year VIP is excited to host a hybrid event so that we can gather both in person and virtually on May 14th. Since the event is hybrid, we can reach out across the country and world to ask people to participate – last year we had 35 teams from as far as CA, FL, TX, IL, VA, NY, and PA! I want you to consider joining my Water Walk team as we bring hope to the most vulnerable.
Leading up to the May 14th event, a team member’s responsibility includes reaching out to your network of friends, family, and church members to raise funds for access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and healthcare in the most remote villages. As a team member, you will also invite your network to watch or attend the Water Walk hybrid event on May 14th and spread the word about the Water Walk through social media. We have an online fundraising platform that makes giving others the opportunity to give easy. There is also a Water “Walk Where You Are” challenge to log miles walked and compete with other teams in the weeks leading up to the Livestream event, and you can participate in this if you would like!
I’ve included a link to the VIP website that explains a little more about the Water Walk: https://villagesinpartnership.org/water-walk/. Please consider joining my team using the link below as we bring hope to the most remote villages during these uncertain times:
