Another year, another week in the place that continues to rejuvenate my soul. Every time I return to Malawi, I’m reminded of how deeply this country and its people have impacted my life. When I took my first trip with VIP back in 2019, I had no idea what to expect. I knew I was going to a place often defined by poverty, loss, and hardship, but I never imagined it would become the place where I’d feel the most love, laughter, generosity, and joy. It was truly a life-changing experience.

Before I came to Malawi, I thought of “missions” as something simple, going somewhere to help others. But this country quickly changed that perspective. What I’ve found here is so much more than a one-way act of giving. It’s a relationship. It’s a shared experience. It’s a powerful exchange where I find myself receiving more than I could ever give.

There is an undeniable strength in the Malawian people. Despite facing daily challenges that many of us can’t imagine, they lead with gratitude, with kindness, and with an unwavering spirit. Their joy is contagious, their hospitality unmatched, and their resilience nothing short of inspiring. Year after year I receive and learn so much more from these people then I will ever be able to give them. Working alongside the people of Malawi has and will continue to be one of the greatest honors God has given me.

Malawi has changed me forever, and I’m endlessly grateful for every moment I get to spend in this incredible place.
