Stephanie is a working mom of three young children and lives in Hopewell, NJ. She is an Elder and Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee at Nassau Presbyterian Church, where she has also served as a Deacon. She was raised in Northeast Alabama, and lived all over the United States before moving to NJ with her husband in 2004. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with BAs in Psychology and Sociology and works in the Employee Benefits field. Stephanie learned about Villages in Partnership when Liz Heinzel-Nelson spoke to the session at Nassau. She was so moved by the work that is being done by VIP that she visited Malawi in July 2016 to see the tremendous impact herself. She returned to the US with a full heart, ready to serve as a witness to the beauty of the people in the Sakata region and the difference that VIP is making in their lives. She hopes to take each of her children to Malawi when they get older so that they can see how an organization that started from the vision of just a few and has enriched the lives so many, and so that they can learn that they too can have an impact on the world.
