Girls Dorm at One Heart Secondary School
Become a champion for girls’ education in Malawi!
Since its opening in 2020, One Heart Secondary School has been a beacon of opportunity for remote villages in Malawi, offering vital access to further education. Over the past four years, the school has grown, welcomed new classes, and celebrated its first graduation ceremony this spring. During this time, it has become clear that the female students need a dedicated Girls’ Dormitory.
Some girls have to walk over 5 miles to the school and sometimes they experience harassment and feel threatened from idle men. Often, when girls return home from school, they find themselves burdened with household chores and responsibilities that disrupt their studies. The dormitory will provide a dedicated space where girls can focus wholeheartedly on their education.
Estimated Building Costs: $308,100

Medical Staff Housing at Khanda Health Center
Reduce infant and child mortality rates in Malawi. Provide housing for the clinicians and staff at Khanda Health Center.
Currently, there are only 2 clinicians serving the population of Khanda Health Center where over 175 patients are seen daily. The Health Center does not have enough staff due to a lack of housing in such a remote area. You can bring essential medical care to the people living in the remote villages by equipping the center with more housing. By offering nearby housing, we not only support our medical staff but also enhance the clinic’s continued impact on the community’s health and well-being.
Estimated Building Costs: $218,800
